What the service does

typesetting.ai takes a document you upload and returns a formatted version of it. It changes layout, typography, and file format. It does not change your words.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right in the manuscript you upload and in the formatted files we return. Uploading grants us permission to process your file for the sole purpose of formatting it and giving it back to you, for as long as we hold it. We claim no ownership, and we do not use your writing to train models or for any other purpose.

Free use and paid unlocks

• Formatting a file is free. Free output carries a small “Made with typesetting.ai” line in the PDF footer, is limited to three refinements, and is kept for 24 hours.
• Unlocking a file costs $5 once. There is no subscription and nothing recurs. It removes the footer, lifts the refinement limit for that file, and extends storage to 30 days.
• A purchase applies to the one file it was made for.

Refunds

If the output is not what you needed, write to us within 30 days and we will refund the $5. You do not need to justify the request.

What we do not promise

We aim to match recognised standards such as Shunn manuscript format, but we cannot guarantee that any particular agent, publisher, or store will accept a given file. Check the output before you submit it anywhere that matters. The service is provided as-is, without warranty, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the file in question.

Keep your own copy of your manuscript. We delete files on the schedule described in the privacy policy and cannot recover them afterwards.

Acceptable use

Do not upload material you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or work around its limits. We may decline service or remove content that breaches this.
